We had some internet connectivity issues last night due to a strong thunderstorm, so that's why it took so long to get these pictures up. Glacier was remarkable, but we only got to see the west 1/3 of the park. The park staff is still trying to plow the rest of Going to the Sun Road, which runs the length of the park. Most of the pictures are of Lake McDonald looking over the Rockies. The setting was very strange, because it was about 80 degrees with snow on the ground right next to us. Apparently the temperatures just warmed up. In fact, flooding has been an issue for the last several days as snow melts in the higher elevations and runs down. We didn't experience any outstanding wildlife, but we're keeping our fingers crossed for Yellowstone.
After Glacier on Monday, we spent Tuesday driving south from Apgar to Bozeman, MT. The drive involved a lot of open space with a nice view of the Rockies in the distance. Bozeman was one of the nicer towns we've found in Montana, but keep in mind that's not exactly a high bar to clear.
We're heading to Yellowstone this morning. Our next post will probably be Thursday night. Hope all is well.
Later,
Matt
